About
At Global Society News (GSN), the Editorial Team SDG17 – Partnerships for the Goals examines how cooperation can accelerate sustainable development worldwide. The team brings together journalists, economists, and international relations experts who explore how governments, businesses, civil society, and academia can mobilise knowledge, technology, and resources to support the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG17) – Partnerships for the Goals, established under the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, aims to strengthen implementation and revitalise global cooperation for sustainable development. It recognises that challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and biodiversity loss require financial mobilisation, capacity-building, technology transfer, and coordinated international action.
Partnerships have become essential to global progress, from health initiatives and renewable energy networks to education alliances and innovation platforms. Yet disparities in resources, technology, and governance continue to limit progress in many regions, making more inclusive, transparent, and effective cooperation necessary.
The Editorial Team SDG17 at GSN examines these issues through comprehensive reporting, expert analysis, and engagement with multilateral organisations, development agencies, and grassroots networks. Its coverage highlights public-private partnerships, international financing, cross-sector collaboration, digital transformation, open data, and innovation ecosystems that support the 2030 Agenda.
