Tokyo, Japan – March 8, 2024 – Global luxury group Kering and CIC Tokyo, a non-profit organization supporting entrepreneurs, have joined forces to launch the Kering Generation Award. This first-of-its-kind award aims to stimulate innovation in the Japanese luxury sector with a focus on sustainability.


The award will be presented to three promising startups that are developing groundbreaking solutions in eco-friendly design, manufacturing, and business models.


To be eligible, startups must:


●      Be registered in Japan

●      Offer innovative solutions in sustainability for the luxury segment

●      Be at an early stage of development or expansion


Winners will receive financial support, mentorship from Kering and CIC Tokyo experts, and the opportunity to showcase their projects at international events.





The launch of the award underscores Kering's commitment to sustainability and demonstrates the power of partnerships between business and non-profit organizations.


The Kering Generation Award aims to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs to create an environmentally responsible future for the luxury industry.


This initiative contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. By promoting sustainable innovation in the luxury sector, the Kering Generation Award aims to reduce the environmental impact of the industry and encourage more responsible consumption.
