Underwear that one can slip into without a problem. It pursues the mission of improving access to education for women and girls through the donation of underwear. Wondering what that means? Everyone has underwear, right? And what does underwear have to do with education?

When Sarah visited Uganda in 2016 to volunteer at the Uganda Marathon, she was literally shocked to find that many women and children did not have access to underwear.

This may not seem so bad at first, but there is a big problem with this situation: as a teenager and as a woman, you can't go to school or work or get involved in the community during your period "visit".

Sarah the CEO of the company said that in some communities, it is estimated that 1 in 10 girls do not go to school during their period due to lack of underwear and sanitary products. Without adequate period protection, they have no choice but to miss school, up to 12 weeks a year.

This unheard of fact inspired Sarah and so she founded the underwear brand Y.O.U underwear in 2017.

Y.O.U underwear has set an ambitious goal of donating 23,000 pairs of underwear by 2023 by selling its own sustainable underwear.

Like many product-based companies, The Coronavirus experienced supply chain problems and items were delivered late. They were also unable to serve their usual markets and had to move to online sales.

Underwear brand Y.O.U underwear pledges to "buy one and give two" in partnership with Smalls for All, a Scottish charity that collects and distributes underwear to women and children in need in Africa and the UK.

By 2021, they have already reached over 17,000 donations and are on track to achieve a total of 23,000 donations by 2023 with the help of a global society. The result is that more than 5,500 girls and women across the UK and Africa have received three pairs of underwear. And that's thanks to great customers who care about people and know the importance of high quality.

Y.O.U. underwear grew by as much as 400% during the 2020 pandemic. This has allowed the brand to expand even further this year and has been featured in The Guardian, Forbes, The Independent, Stylist, Glamour and other national publications.

The young company plans to continue donating underwear to people in need and expand their othersustainable donation models, such as their pink collection in support of breast cancer.
