About

The Editorial Team SDG13 – Climate Action at Global Society News (GSN) reports on the global response to climate change, one of the defining challenges of the present century. The team brings together journalists, scientists, and policy experts who examine the social, environmental, and economic dimensions of the climate crisis, while highlighting practical solutions and innovation worldwide.

Sustainable Development Goal 13 (SDG13) – Climate Action, established under the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, calls for urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. It urges countries to strengthen resilience, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, integrate climate policies into national planning, and support education on adaptation and mitigation.

Climate change is already affecting communities across every continent through rising sea levels, extreme weather, droughts, and biodiversity loss. Those least responsible for emissions are often among the most exposed. Despite international commitments, global action remains insufficient to limit warming and protect ecosystems, livelihoods, and vulnerable populations.

The Editorial Team SDG13 at GSN examines these issues through rigorous reporting, expert analysis, and collaboration with environmental organisations, scientific institutions, and grassroots movements. Its coverage highlights climate adaptation, renewable energy transitions, nature-based solutions, and the communities leading action, from small island nations to indigenous groups protecting forests and coastal ecosystems.
