About

At Global Society News (GSN), the Editorial Team SDG6 – Clean Water and Sanitation reports on global efforts to secure safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene for all. The team brings together journalists, researchers, and environmental analysts who examine how water management, infrastructure, public health, and climate resilience support sustainable development.

Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG6) – Clean Water and Sanitation, established under the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, aims to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. It promotes equitable access to safe drinking water, adequate hygiene, improved wastewater treatment, ecosystem protection, and more efficient use of natural resources.

Water is essential to human life, economic development, and environmental balance. Although major progress has been made in expanding access to drinking water and sanitation, many communities still face unsafe water, inadequate facilities, pollution, and growing scarcity caused by climate change and poor resource management.

The Editorial Team SDG6 at GSN examines these challenges through investigative journalism, field research, and collaboration with international agencies and scientific institutions. Its reporting highlights sustainable sanitation, water management innovation, community-led conservation, watershed restoration, rainwater harvesting, and technologies that support long-term access to clean water.

Aligned with the vision of UN-Water and the wider United Nations agenda, the Editorial Team SDG6 promotes responsible communication on the global water crisis. By advancing the message of “Clean Water and Sanitation”, the team reaffirms that access to water is a universal right and a foundation for health, peace, and sustainable development.
